Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston Appearance at Sushi by Bou

Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, stars of the hit series “Breaking Bad” and co-founders of the mezcal brand, kicked off the collaboration with Sushi by Bou by serving Dos Hombres and signing bottles for guests throughout the evening.

The event marked the official launch of Sushi by Bou’s national collaboration with Dos Hombres, which will be available at all of the brand’s locations, from Florida to Chicago to New York.

In Miami, Dos Hombres will be included in Sushi by Bou’s acclaimed cocktail program (which already features Heavensake and Beam Suntory) and a soon-to-be cocktail-omakase tasting experience.

This April, Sushi by Bou plans to transform its Sushi Suite 1001 location inside Hotel 32|32 in New York City into the Dos Hombres Terrace, offering a brand-new mezcal-driven cocktail tasting menu.

Paul and Cranton had planned to arrive at Sushi By Bou at SLS Brickell at 6 p.m. 30 minutes prior to their party’s arrival, Dos Hombres Chief Sales Officer JB Woodworth called Chef Moon — Sushi By Bou’s skilled sushi chef — requesting that Moon prepare enough for 18 guests, as the intimate restaurant originally only holds 12 seats.

Always prepared to accommodate, Chef Moon sprinted next door into SLS Brickell to borrow extra furniture before quickly whipping up 18 sushi platters with careful dedication.

During the dine, Paul and Cranton spread their dinner delight by hopping behind the bar to guest-bartend and sign 10 cases of Dos Hombres for waiting for fans outside.

The Dos Hombres team immensely enjoyed their omakase, resulting in the unexpected turnout causing the restaurant to run out of fish and rice, leaving the “Breaking Bad” stars vowing to return to other locations for round two.

Cranton, who will be filming in New York this spring, inquired where he could plot his next Sushi By Bou experience with the SimpleVenue team.

Sushi by Bou at SLS Brickell is an oasis within the heart of Miami’s dining and entertainment district.

The dark, speak-easy setting is elevated with ornate art house-inspired decor with rich black and gold design elements.

The 12-seat counter and lounge that seats another 12 are the ideal spots to enjoy Dos Hombres and Sushi by Bou’s signature timed omakase experience.

Sushi by Bou at SLS Brickell is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday beginning at 5 p.m., with the last seating at 10 p.m.

Reservations can be made at sushibybou.com or OpenTable
